John describes using "maker tools" in a ham radio project. The tools include an Arduino micro-controller, a 3D Printer and a home-made CNC machine. The project is a magnetic loop antenna for HF. This antenna works well on the HF bands. It features a completely DIY high voltage tuning capacitor which is remote controlled by WiFi.
