CARA Monthly General Meeting and Board Elections

• Nominations for Directors, to serve a two year term, will take place at the September 25th general meeting.
• Any member in good standing and in attendance at the meeting may make a nomination.  Elections will be held immediately after the close of nominations.
• CARA By-laws, paragraph 26.1, stipulate that  "The number of Directors shall not be less than 3 or more than 9, or such number as may be determined from time to time at a general membership meeting."
• The By-laws further state, 26.7- "No person shall be qualified as a Director unless at least 18 years of age and unless they have been a full meber of the Society for the Proceeding three (3) years.

PROGRAM

There will be a presentation on How to Get the Most From Your Handheld Radio. Most of us have one, but do we know how to get the best performance when you really need it? The presentation will present an overview of HT features and how they function to send and receive signals. It will look at operating tips and tricks, antenna research available, and the real world performance of some commercial and hand built antenna enhancements, as recently measured by some club members. We will also hear about the upcoming emergency service drill.
